Trigon was recently selected as part of a team to provide the Project Management for the Jefferson Parish 2014 Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grant Funding Project. This project includes five (5) selected FEMA FMA and PDM grant applications that include 43 residential elevation properties, one (1) non-residential elevation property, six (6) residential mitigation reconstruction properties, and wind retrofit of three (3) government buildings. The project has an aggressive schedule of full execution within two (2) years of award and full project closeout within three (3) years to comply with federal grant requirements.
Services include grant counseling to identified properties related to FEMA mitigation guidelines, property-specific review of cost proposals and eligibility standards, facilitation of contractual agreements between property owners and Jefferson Parish, supervision of the construction management (CM) firm’s schedule and milestone payments, preparation of reimbursement packages to the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP), quarterly reporting, and database creation and management of all grant-related information. Trigon is also providing the qualifying Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) to uphold the highest standards of this project from the floodplain perspective.
