Trigon Associates, LLC (Trigon) was the prime engineer for this project and provided engineering, design, bidding and construction phase services.
Delta Aire Drive is an approximately 1,240’ concrete street in a densely populated residential area in Buras, LA between Highway 11 and Highway 23. Approximately 40 homes are located along this street.
The project generally included assessing the condition of the roadway and the water, sewer and drainage systems in the area. With a lack of existing documentation and maps, Trigon researched the infrastructure in the area and performed field investigations to map out the water, sewer and drainage systems. Based on the investigations, improvements to the sewer, water and drainage systems were identified and presented to the Parish.
Water system improvements included installing a new 8” water main with valves and fire hydrants and abandoning an old 4” water main in place. Significant concrete restoration was required as part of this effort, including the tie-in and/or replacement of more than 40 driveways.
Trigon coordinated with the Parish and their private contractor that operates and maintains the water system in the area to locate an existing 12” water main the new line connected to.
