Trigon Associates served as a major subcontractor on the USAID infrastructure program with the West Bank/Gaza Mission, providing A&E services throughout the program. Trigon also held many of the key program-level positions. The INP II made infrastructure and capacity improvements necessary to promote economic growth and improve the quality of life for Palestinians; developed the professional skills of local engineers, construction managers, and contractors in the infrastructure sector; and created skilled and unskilled jobs for local workers. The program included a wide range of efforts and project types, spanning the full spectrum of technical areas, such as: water, wastewater and transportation infrastructure. A few representative projects/task orders include:
• Gaza Water Reservoirs and Booster Stations: Design of four (4) new water storage reservoirs and associated booster stations and pipelines due to damages from the 2014 Gaza conflict.
• Al Jaba’ – Nuba Main Transmission Pipeline: Installation of a new 11.5 km long transmission pipeline to benefit approx. 60,000 people in the Hebron Governorate.
• Packaged Wastewater Treatment Plants Feasibility Study: Evaluation of utilizing packaged WWTPs in the West Bank.
• Anata Main Entrance Road and Internal Roads & Al Menya Landfill Roads: Construction oversight services for projects that consisted of reconstructing a total of 8km of roads.
• Well Flow Monitoring System: A first-of-its-kind in the West Bank, this project consisted of providing a highly computerized monitoring system for 40 water production wells, 3 booster stations and 3 reservoirs scattered throughout the West Bank. The system transmits information via a telecommunications system installed as part of this project to a central control room located at the West Bank Water Department offices in Ramallah.
• Dura Cluster Water Storage and Distribution System: Construction oversight for two 500 cubic meter elevated water storage tanks, one 3000 cubic meter ground storage tank, 11.2 km of transmission pipeline and over 85km of water distribution lines in multiple towns/villages.
