Driver – Vietnam
The Driver performs the operations, maintenance, and management of project vehicles, including routine maintenance, as well as providing transportation for project activities for all staff.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive vehicle for official travel and business as required.
Maintain high standard of service to both internal and external clients.
Ensure punctuality and safe transport.
Presents safety briefing to passengers prior to each trip departure.
Observing the road and traffic laws and regulations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Ensure that safe driving practices are adhered to including local driving codes and internally agreed standards.
Ensure vehicle is kept clean, tidy and in good working condition at all times
Ensure vehicle is kept secure at all times.
Ensures that vehicle has adequate fuel.
Ensure vehicle maintenance in accordance with the established vehicle maintenance schedule.
Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes, etc.
Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must hold a Vietnamese driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a professional driver.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese (oral).
AREA OF CONSIDERATION
In order to integrate the foreign assistance effort into the community, enhance the skills of the cooperating country’s population, and contribute to the local economy, this position is designated for a Cooperating Country National (CCN), meaning an individual who is a cooperating country citizen, or a non-cooperating country citizen lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the cooperating country.
