Trigon served as a subcontractor for this project, which included a comprehensive assessment of 56 schools, K-12 (approx. 4 million square feet) to identify the condition of systems and materials that will affect the long-term performance and viability of the facilities. These are schools that were refurbished and/or had no significant renovation or refurbishment since Hurricane Katrina. The assessment were used to develop the revised long-range Master Plan for the School Board. The condition assessments included: utility connections and shut-offs; paving systems; stairs; retaining walls; exterior lighting; storm water management ponds; surface drainage structures; flagpoles; fences; athletic fields; roofs; walls; window systems; exterior doors; structural components; walls; doors; floors and ceilings; visible structure; finishes; handicap access (ADA) requirements; heating; ventilation and air conditioning; electrical systems, fire protection systems, security systems, network and communications systems, and plumbing systems.
